We had another day off of school yesterday due to ice. Now you would think that would make all the school staff happy, but the reality is we have to give up a day off somewhere else to make it up so it's not as great as it sounds. It has seemed like a week of Mondays! I was able to do some scrapping and finish up the Faerie Lore kit yesterday. There will be a free little sample gift in Kathryn's newsletter on Saturday. Sign up for it here.

WOWEE,that kit is awesome!!! Great designing lady!
Carol, I just love this kit, it's so beautiful!!!!! I made one LO for ya with it so far and it was actually hard for me. I wanted to use so many of the elements but it was getting cluttered so I kept it simple. But I am definitely going to make more using this kit, it's so pretty! Can't wait for the newsletter gift Saturday! :)
beautiful kit!!
Carol this is such a gorgeous kit. I have got to find time to use this, and some of your other kits as well. Perhaps I need a Monday off! LOL
pyHi there! I just discovered both your store and your designs. I'm just blown away! This fairy kit uses 2 of my alltime fave pieces of art. I use that fairy princess bit with the faery wearing crown of butterflies constantly! LOL
I have 2 questions. First, I signed up for your newsletter, but is there ANY WAY POSSIBLE to get back issues of this newsletter? I'd be absolutely thrilled if that were the case. If theres a way to send them to me, I'm at orachel54@yahoo.com
Second...do you have a mailing list, or a subscription link that tells when theres new posts to your blog, or new freebies of your work? I'm DYING for all of your kits, but I'm newly disabled and until my house sells I am one broke chiquita...so buying them will have to wait for now (sob!)...but I'd love to find a way to get some samples of your work to play with.
And finally..this is asking a lot, but I'm an aspiring designer, and we actually have very very similar taste, based on your designs. I call my style "vintage eclectic funk", which seem to apply to much you do as well! I don't know if you do any teaching or mentoring, but I would be just absolutely thrilled with any advice, tips, or recommendations you have for me.
Like I said, I'm too ill to continue with my career in high end financial sales, but I'm THRILLED to discover digital scrap/altered art. My long term goal is to be an earning designer, but I'd love to offer tons of freebies as well. I'm almost done with my first ever digital kit creation...I'd love to send it to you when its through if you'd like to critique it. I'm doing a vintage parisian thing called "ooh-la-la".
Anyway, I'm just ramblin on here, but I'd absolutely love any suggestions you have for me, and if possible to get ahold of old newsletters I'd be thrilled. Lastly, do you think you might at some point offer any sort of creative team/moderator positions within your store? I've got nothing but time, and I'd love the opportunity to do anything I can for you in exchange for advice and products from a designer I admire.
You're officially on the top of my fave designer list...others I love are Doris Castle, and Thao Cosgrove, but your style is so similar to mine that I can dream that when my skill level improves I might be able to create a similar type of work.
Thanks so much for your time, and I'd be thrilled with any info you have that you think would be beneficial.
Have a wonderful week!
